How do posting suggestions for supplier invoices work?

Posting suggestions propose account coding for each line of a supplier invoice. The suggestions are based on your chart of accounts and on the invoices your organization has already posted, and your team confirms each suggestion before it is used.

How it works

  1. The supplier invoice arrives as a Peppol or other XML document, or as a PDF that capture converts to structured data.
  2. Qvalia suggests account coding for each invoice line.
  3. Your team reviews the suggestions and confirms or corrects them.
  4. The confirmed coding moves with the invoice into approval and posting.

Where to use posting suggestions

  • In Qvalia, as part of the accounts payable and approval workflow.
  • Through the API, where your own system or platform requests suggestions from the Enrichment API and shows them to its users.

What the suggestions are based on

  • Posting history: invoices your organization has already posted.
  • Chart of accounts: the accounts your organization uses.
  • Structured invoice data: header data and invoice lines. PDF invoices go through capture first.

Posting suggestions speed up review and posting. Responsibility for the accounting stays with your team.
