What is e-invoicing?
E-invoicing, or electronic invoicing, means creating, sending and receiving invoices as structured data instead of on paper or as PDF files by email. A PDF sent by email is not an e-invoice. You can send e-invoices through a cloud service such as Qvalia or through an integration with your accounting system. E-invoicing makes invoice handling faster, reduces costs and errors, and cuts paper use.
In cooperation with Region Kalmar County, you can use Qvalia to send e-invoices at no cost. Create an account to get started.
What is Peppol?
Peppol is an international network for exchanging e-invoices and other business documents. To send an e-invoice, you only need the recipient’s Peppol ID. Peppol started as an EU-funded project and is now governed by OpenPeppol. It gives companies, organizations and the public sector a common document standard and a shared network, also across borders. In Sweden, invoices to the public sector must be sent as e-invoices, and Peppol is the standard way to send them.
With Peppol, companies save time and money on invoicing and purchasing, and the public sector can make its procurement more efficient and transparent.
