Qvalia joins ELMA, Norway’s receiver register for EHF and Peppol

Elektronisk mottakaradresseregister (ELMA)

Qvalia is now connected to ELMA, the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency’s receiver register for the Norwegian market. This means we can register our customers in ELMA, including for Norwegian EHF documents that are not part of Peppol BIS, such as EHF Reminder (payment reminder).

What is ELMA?

ELMA (Elektronisk mottakaradresseregister) is operated by the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency (Digdir) and is a Service Metadata Publisher (SMP) on the Peppol network. It shows which Access Point a company receives documents through and which document types it can receive, such as invoices, credit notes and orders. Service providers register the receivers, and the documents themselves travel over the Peppol infrastructure.

Qvalia already operates its own SMP. ELMA works the same way, and both are connected to the Peppol network. A receiver registered in either one can be found by senders across the network. A Peppol ID can be registered in only one SMP at a time, so all document types for the same ID are kept in the same register.

EHF Reminder and other Norwegian document types

In addition to Peppol BIS, there are Norwegian EHF document types, such as EHF Reminder (payment reminder). They are not part of Peppol BIS, but they are on Peppol’s code list and are exchanged over the Peppol network. To receive reminders as EHF, the receiver needs to be registered for EHF Reminder. Qvalia registers Norwegian EHF document types in ELMA.

What this means for you

  • If you only need Peppol BIS documents, such as invoices and credit notes, everything works as it does today through Qvalia’s SMP.
  • If you also want to receive EHF Reminder, we register your Peppol ID in ELMA with both Peppol BIS documents and reminders. Qvalia remains your service provider.
