Companies or organizations do not need a registered Peppol ID address to send e-invoices via the Peppol network. However, the correct ID is required to send to the correct recipient. Individuals are not allowed to issue invoices via Peppol.
Visit our Peppol ID search for updated information from the Peppol participant register.
To obtain a Peppol ID, several requirements must be met:
- Peppol Access Point provider: Register through a certified Peppol Access Point provider, also called Peppol service provider. These providers handle the registration process and connect companies to the Peppol network.
- Legal entity: To obtain a Peppol ID, the company or organization must be a registered legal entity, such as a company, government agency, or other type of institution.
- Business information: Business details must be provided, such as company name, address, and legal identifiers like VAT or company registration numbers.
- Compliance with Peppol standards: Your organization must comply with Peppol’s technical and legal requirements, which ensure the proper use of the Peppol network for e-invoicing and business document exchange.
Once these conditions are met, the Peppol service provider will assign a unique Peppol ID, allowing the company or organization to receive documents within the Peppol network.
