What is Peppol BIS Punch Out?
Punch Out is a dynamic shopping cart message for e-commerce transactions. It enables customers to access online catalogs, add products or services to a punch-out “shopping cart”, and send the cart to the customer’s system, such as a procurement system. Next, the punch out with listed items can be sent as an order from the customer’s system to the supplier.
The model allows B2B e-commerce transactions without using, for example, online payment gateways and on-site checkout solutions. The message can also be used as a flexible comparison tool to compare products or services from different suppliers.
BIS Punch Out is based on the European Interoperability Framework 2.0 and supports B2B and B2G transactions.
The message uses OASIS UBL 2.1 and ISO/IEC 19757-3 Schematron to automate document validation
