BIS Despatch Advice is a notification message in the transaction fulfillment process. Suppliers can notify customers of the despatch and delivery period for ordered products, declare packaging, and specify details for cross-checking with orders. The message can include information and activities relating to:
- Transport. How goods are packed and delivered
- Ordering. Goods contained in the shipment, quantity, and outstanding goods
- Receiving goods. Reception of goods, warehouse, inventory, stores, and more
BIS Despatch Advice supports simple shipment fulfillment and more advanced scenarios, from shipments with outstanding goods to the use of various endpoints.
To automate document validation, the message uses OASIS UBL 2.1 and ISO/IEC 19757-3 Schematron.
