Qvalia joins ELMA, Norway’s receiver register for EHF and Peppol

Elektronisk mottakaradresseregister (ELMA)

Qvalia is now connected to ELMA, the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency’s receiver register for the Norwegian market. This means we can register our customers in ELMA, including for Norwegian EHF documents that are not part of Peppol BIS, such as EHF Reminder (payment reminder).

What is ELMA?

ELMA (Elektronisk mottakaradresseregister) is operated by the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency (Digdir) and is a Service Metadata Publisher (SMP) on the Peppol network. It shows which Access Point a company receives documents through and which document types it can receive, such as invoices, credit notes and orders. Access Point providers register the receivers, and the documents themselves travel over the Peppol infrastructure.

Qvalia already operates its own SMP. ELMA works the same way, and both are connected to the Peppol network. A receiver registered in either one can be found by senders across the network.

EHF Reminder and other Norwegian document types

In addition to Peppol BIS, ELMA supports registration of Norwegian EHF document types. The most requested is EHF Reminder. Payment reminders are not a Peppol BIS document type, so the receiver needs to be registered for it in ELMA.

What this means for you

  • Peppol BIS documents work as they do today through Qvalia’s SMP.
  • You can be registered for EHF Reminder in ELMA.
  • Your invoices can stay with Qvalia while reminders are registered in ELMA. You can also register both in ELMA.
