Peppol PINT JP (JP PINT) is Japan’s specialisation of the Peppol International Invoice model. It uses UBL 2.1 XML and adds Japanese consumption-tax, identifier and qualified-invoice rules.

The official JP PINT documentation publishes three profiles: the standard invoice profile, the self-billing invoice profile and the non-tax-registered invoice profile. Document capabilities should be described from the current profile documentation rather than inferred from other PINT jurisdictions.

JP PINT uses the current PINT levels Shared, Aligned and Distinct. The distinct rules include requirements related to Japan’s Qualified Invoice System.

At the review date, the official documentation publishes JP PINT version 1.1.3. Version numbers change, so always check the current release before implementing or validating documents.
