Peppol PINT AE is the United Arab Emirates specialisation of the Peppol International Invoice model. It uses UBL 2.1 XML and adds UAE-specific tax, identifier and reporting rules.

PINT AE defines Billing Invoice and Billing Credit Note transactions. Separate PINT AE Self-Billing specifications define the Self-Billing Invoice and Self-Billing Credit Note transactions.

The UAE Tax Identification Number (TIN) is 10 digits and is used in the Peppol participant identifier scheme 0235. It should not be called a 10-digit Tax Registration Number: the UAE TRN is 15 digits, with the TIN represented by its first 10 digits.

The normative invoice representation is UBL 2.1 XML. JSON may be offered by a service provider or API, but it is not a second normative PINT AE invoice syntax.

PINT AE uses the current PINT levels Shared, Aligned and Distinct. The distinct rules cover UAE-specific requirements such as tax identifiers and local tax reporting data.
