Peppol PINT AE is the United Arab Emirates’ specialization of the Peppol International (PINT) invoice specification — a UBL 2.1-based e-invoice format that adds UAE-specific tax rules and identifiers on top of the common PINT model.

PINT AE covers:
- Tax Invoice, Tax Credit Note, and Self-Billed Invoice transactions
- Structured VAT breakdowns for standard-rated, zero-rated, reverse charge, and free zone supplies
- A validated Tax Registration Number (TRN) format — a 10-digit code starting with “1”
- Both structured XML and JSON representations of the invoice
Like other PINT profiles, PINT AE is built from Common Content shared across all PINT jurisdictions, Aligned Content adapted to UAE tax rules, and Distinct Content specific to the UAE, such as TRN validation and free zone data elements.
