Elektronisk handelsformat (EHF) is Norway’s family of specifications for structured electronic business documents. EHF is not the name of the Peppol standard or the Peppol network.

Current EHF specifications are harmonised with the corresponding Peppol BIS specifications and can include Norwegian requirements or guidance. Invoices, orders and other EHF documents are normally exchanged through the Peppol network in Norway.

The distinction matters: Peppol provides the network, discovery, governance and international business-interoperability specifications, while EHF describes the Norwegian implementation for relevant document processes.
